We are a family run business located near the quaint village of Quethiock, set within the picturesque Cornish countryside. Our aim is to preserve the heritage and history of these ‘national treasures’ from a bygone agricultural age, through offering premium quality authentic handcrafted Shepherd Huts based on blueprints from a restored original hut (as pictured), which once guarded flocks in the East of England from the late 1800's.

We neither compromise on quality nor use inappropriate modern materials such as plywood in the construction of Caleb Josiah Shepherd Huts. Sourcing only the finest seasoned timbers we assemble the hut using traditional wood craft techniques and compliment the final build with period reproduction fixtures and fittings. The hut is then set on solid oak axles mounting stub axles and iron wheels, cast using an original design.
